heh, I think msn nicks isn't indicative of anything man because everyone has those 'crumbling' moments and msn has...well...penetrated well into our personal space...

that said, i think starting a business without knowing what business he's starting is quite worrying...heh

Haha... 'point 6' is rather funny...
Well, David Bradley created this unfriendly key combination certainly not for normal end-users of PCs.

It was originally meant for programmers or software engineers to reboot a system occasionally to ensure proper system reboot.

Later, Microsoft adopted this shortcut(it is a shortcut when there's a faster way to reset a system). It wants to ensure proper reboot and yet not an easy key combination to be hit by accident. Of course, why 3 key- combination has got alot more to do with electrical engineering stuffs.

I cannot agree more with the fact that we were a race that did not have to work to get to this piece of land - and by that fact alone, we never felt a need to make any returns off a sacrifice we never had to make.

The fact remains that too many people feel that it is a right to be on this soil simply because of their racial lineage. Sadder still is the perceived notion that "The Others" are stealing the land away from us. This is a perception Malays have against other races and also a perception that Singaporeans have of foreigners.

At the end of the day, it is how the cookie has crumbled. We are not losing this land...it simply because we're not trying hard enough. Pardon me if I sound arrogant but here's my inaccurate analogy. We jog during a 400m dash. But when people start overtaking us, we can either

1. Blame them and say, "They're running too fast and they're not giving us a chance."
2. We can tell ourselves, "We need to run faster."

The fact that remains constant regardless of perception is this. The race track is fair. It's how the players want to play the game. it's about what they expect of themselves.

I'd like to say though that to say that there is no problem is rather inaccurate. It would be to be in denial. We know that the problem is really one of our own perception. And with that, I think we have to consciously make decisions that will rectify that mindset.

Perhaps, we can start by finding less excuses for ourselves and start wondering what more we can do.

So the next time you wonder, "How come that Chinese guy got the job and I didn't?",
Wonder about this too

"What can I do to get the job regardless of the competition?"
